Christmas season is here again....

It is hard to believe that it is Christmas time again. Wasn't it just yesterday that it was July and we were suffering through the heat? Oh to have those days back again...lol! It has been cold so far this December, although we are in a mini heat wave at the moment with highs close to the mid 30's! YEAH!!! This is the first time in many, many years I have had to leave a steady little stream of water going at night so that the pipes don't freeze. BURRR!! I have also come to realize that I am glad that I don't live where it is colder...my little cold toes could not handle it.
Logan has made it home for the Christmas break and it is so nice to have him in the home again. I knew that he was missed but until his wonderful sense of humor and love came back into the home I did not realize just how much. It will be hard to let him go back to school after the New Year. The only thing making it easier is knowing that he is in good hands with Farahlyn.
Elyssa is counting down the few days of school that she has left with much eagerness. I think more for the fact that she gets her cell phone back then that she is out of school for 2 weeks. It is hard to believe that she is down to 2 1/2 years of school and then she will also be headed out into the world. Man where does time go? They were both so little and it seems like it was just yesterday.
Aiden is very busy filling in Santa's beard with a new cotton ball each day in his count down till Christmas. This time of year is so fun to see through the eyes of little kids. Yesterday Aiden and I had to run over to Rupert and as we walked into the building he had to walk on top of the piled snow from where they had cleared the walks. After we got back out into the car we attempted to leave only to discover that the way that the street department had cleared the roads had made it so there was a ton of snow where my tires were and my car could not get any traction. GREAT!! Well after much reversing and going forward we were able to get one of the tires up on the sidewalk and that gave us the little bit of traction that we needed to get out of the wonderful snow! Poor Aiden thought we were going to be stuck there for quite some time, while I have the humilitating thoughts going through my head of, 'Here I am stuck on a main road and I am going to have to ask to be pushed out of a little mound of snow!' So note to self no more parking the car in mounds ot snow, even if they are little.
In closing I would just love to let everyone know how greatful I am to have you in my life. It is sad that it seems that we only say it during this time of year as we should let everyone know all the time just how great they are. Oh I also promise to attempt to update this thing more often but as I still don't have my computer fixed yet...we will see.
